Great information, its a pity so many 18rg's that came to australia came without the filters or airboxes. Most of us have had to resort to seperate aircleaners and not factory style.
Just a bit of information on the TA22 2TG engine air box to carb connectors.
In April 1973 the solex carbs on 2TG's were changed from Type 3's with 4 bolt covers to Type 4's with 5 bolt covers.
At the same time the carb barrel sleeves and air box connectors were changed.
The early connectors had a flat face to the carb with mini velocity stacks inside the air box. The carbs had long barrel sleeves.
The later connectors had a radiused face into the carb and no velocity stacks. The carbs had shorter barrel sleeves.
Air boxes - early at top:
Carb barrel sleeves - early on left:
The moral of this story is that you cant fit the later air box connector to early carbs without either swapping in barrel sleeves from later carbs or grinding the radiused section off the air box connector.

the real early 1s had no sleeve and had 30mm chokes the head with 222 has 32mm chokes and sleeves and the 260 with solexs has 34mm chokes for the last yami head
Theres probably all sorts of variations on the theme.
I have solex PHH40's from 220, 222 and 260 heads. All have sleeves. 220 has 30mm chokes, 222 and 260 have 32mm chokes.
Carbs on 220 head have 125 main and 150 air corrector jets. Carbs on 222 and 260 heads have 135 main and 150 air jets.
