Yeah I got one you could borrow. Where are you located in syd?
Hi All,
I've been having some trouble with my 4AGZE lately, and part of the problem was blown capacitors in the ECU. Since replacing them the car is starting again, but there's still a couple of weird issues. Talking to a few people in the know it is likely my ECU is still stuffed.
I'm just wondering if anyone is in Sydney with an AE101 MAP 4AGZE that is running a standard ECU if they wouldn't me just plugging my ECU into their car for 5 mins just to see if if runs their car okay. So if its my ECU that's stuffed, their car should get the same symptoms as mine (rough idle, hard to rev)
The part numbers on the back of my ECU are 89661-12790 and 17500-3372 (according to SSS Automotive, only the first parts number needs to match (ie 89661-12790) for it to be the same ECU.
Cheers - Craig
P.S. Yes I just changed this thread - originally I was wanting to borrow someones ECU, but Sideshow pointed out to me that it's far safer for everyone involved if I just plug my ECU into their car as that way I can't blow anything up (like their ECU).

Just changed the thread title and request.
Originally I was wanting to borrow someones ECU to try on my car, but Sideshow pointed out to me that it's far safer for everyone involved if I just plug my ECU into their car as that way I can't blow anything up (like their ECU).

And as for the reply above - I'm happy to drive anywhere to meet you to try my ECU out. I need to figure out this problem ASAP.
