First stop should be the WA transport authority.

When Rex began His Locost He went to Transport SA. They Had a little ICV booklet and some application forms.

After lodging the forms about vehicle spec, Transport SA handed down a 'statement of requirements' which lists everything they want to see in terms of engineering reports and testing. They also included a list or approved engineers and procedures to do so.

    WA should be similar...

In the end Rex ditched the idea of registration in favour of competition only...

hahah getting info from transport ha ha ha.
those guys are only good to get angry at.

but yes rex is correct, normaly you fill forms (about your build and mods) send it to transport, they send it back saying yay or nay if its a yay then you go to an engineer and he signs it off, then you send the papers back to transport and they okay it and send it back, then you go for inspection.

if you ring terry he can tell you what you should/can do, so when you fill the papers out you can do it without any guess work and less time wasted.

i dont do any cams racing so i dont know, but at the run what ya brung events like drags and track days they just check for obvious faults and have simple safety guidelines, if its a cams event you would need to get cages and welding signed off and cams approved.
