1jz/2jz custom fuel rails suit standard sidefeed injectors

as in title, are 1jz/2jz rails interchange able?

also can people post up pics of how configure the twin feed fuel rail ( each end ).. aka

aftermarket fuel regulator > hose > y fitting > 2 hoses to fuel rail?
or
aftermarket fuel regulator > hose > rail
regulator return > rail
rail > return hose ?

Nope


You need to go
Pump -> Filter -> 2 Feeds to Rail -> Rail -> One outlet to Fuel Pressure Regulator back to tank.

You can also have two fuel filters, two pumps etc and then go to the rail, but regardless you need two feeds to the rail. The fuel pressure regulator comes off the rail and goes back to the tank. The FPR isn't before the rail


It also depends on if you are talking about 1JZGTE or 2JZGTE.


This is my dual feed rail for 2JZGTE.

I drilled and tapped the 'spare' end (Left looking at the pic). And I also tapped where the stock fuel pressure regulator goes and ran off to my SARD ragulator.

Well the 1jzgte rail is already tapped both ends, so you really need to weld or drill and tap a fitting into the middle of the rail for the FPR to connect to and then feed from each end I would have thought

kinda confused, currently i have the FPR mounted to the strut tower with one fuel hose going to the fuel rail and the other back to the tank... hence i must have it FPR before the rail..will check it out and get back to you

That should be your return line. If there wasn't a line running back to the tank from the FPR then it wouldn't be regulating anything.

JZ aren't a returnless engine, so there are 2 fuel lines going to the tank, 1 in, 1 out

next question: as im not near my car atm. any idea what the fitting thread is either side of the 1j fuel rail so i can buy fittings..

also for the time being: can i have PUMP > left side fuel rail IN> rail > right side rail OUT > fuel reg > return?. and later on tap a fitting into the middle of the rail.

currently i have it pump > fuel reg/return > rail ( one end of rail is blocked off ) only. which seems to work fine. although id rather do it properly for tuning etc

I believe that the thread is M12x1.25.

Same fitting both ends if I recall.... but if you're trusting my memory you're pretty brave... it's been a few years since I've owned a 1jz

Why can't you wait until your next near your car to check ?

The below will work fine, and is how it is setup from factory
