Prior to removal ensure engine is at top dead centre on NO1 piston and mark cam chain and cam gear position. Undo tensioner on the side of the head. Bend back locking tab on the cam bolt, Cams have a square section on them.Use a 300mm shifter to hold the cams in position. undo the cam gear retaining bolt, remove small locating pin very carefully so as not to drop it in the timing cover. remove cam gears.and support upper timing chain.

There is a nut/stud around the front that goes through the timing chain cover.

Well that looks like a good enough excuse for some 92mm forged pistons and a little head work.

    Hi,

    Thread locked.

Pls use the existing 18R-G threads for 18R-G questions & answers.
