sorted the top hat thing. Now im having a few drama's putting the supposed ms65 hubs onto the ra60 struts and BA rotors with r33 calipers.

Firstly the rotor wont slip onto the ms65 hub, its stepped up in sizes and is about 1mm to large for the rotor. Does this mean they are not ms65 hubs and maybe ms85 or something about there?

Secondly the ring spacers i got dont look right. They fit the strut but maybe to tall?

because i cant see what spacing they give off with the rotor's and calipers on i guess it would be too early to say. They are the mx83 ba ring spacers

rnt the spacers ment to fit on the front of the hub like norbies setup?

Isn't the ring meant to go on the hub and not the stub axle flange face as shown in the photo. Its meant to centre the rotor on the hub, not the hub to the stub axle.

I had to machine my hub down when I fitted the Altezza rotors, not sure on the Falcon discs but could be similar especially if aftermarket. The hubs don't look like MS85 to me, the ones I have seen are bigger outside diameter and have cutouts in the outer lip. Pull off the rings you put in the wrong place and tighten up the bearings, it will be very obvious if they are right.

what bearing part numbers are on the box and have you thought about longer wheel studs and even new ones. if there 85s dont stress they just need machining and they run a bigger bearing. same stuff as what i run.

    cheers mat

This is a MS65 Hub , same as yours but i have put Falcon wheel studs in.

    EDIT

I could put a BA falcon rota over my hub without any machining needed, but it was near new from the wreckers.

(how do i insert a pic instead of a link)

Whether you need to machine down the hub or not depends on the rotors you have. There are minor casting differences in the rotors, and the BA hub has probably 2-3mm of clearance to the inner of the rotor hat anyway.

The rotor locates on the center of the hub not on the outer also. And yes, those rings go on the front of the hub like so:

Hey guys, about to do the r33 upgrade on my car, just wondering if I will require an upgraded master cylinder or anything like that?

    Cheers,

Bumping up an old thread. Does anyone have a pair of MS65 hubs they want to sell or perhaps lend out?

I am looking to do a 5 stud conversion on my MX32 Cressida and I am wanting to go this route however, I have a mate that is going to machine some billet replacements up on the CNC for me.

As you all know these hubs are very hard to come by these days and the prices are only getting higher so I think it's about time there is a cost effective aftermarket alternative.

If you can help out with supplying the original hubs please either PM me or call 0422 447 545.

Im currently running mazda MPV rotors and R33 calipers
ive machined the outer edge of the hub down so the rotor slides over the hub and had the rotor redrilled for the original stud pattern works a treat!

original MA61 everything all ive had is the hub machined down on the outer edge so the rotor slides over the top and longer wheel studs to make up for the extra thickness of the rotor so overall my wheel span is wider but only by the thickness of the rotor
