    mine turned into a $3.5k ordeal...

    including reco'd head and radiator, new engine mounts $550+ genuine. etc. etc.

    the shit just adds up :/

    For a 7MGE i was quoted about $1500 from most places (not Toyota). Last time i had to do it though it cost me near $4000 because the block surface was pitted and the engine had to come out to get the surface decked. That $4000 included all labour with the engine stripped and rebuilt.

    on my 3sgte, it was 300 parts ? stainless steel headgasket, and 600 labour, but 150 of that was gettin head shimmed and all that, id say try do it yaself and get that toyota HG
