Hi,

i'm putting a gen 2 3sge into my st162 to replace the dead gen 1. I'm just making the new wiring loom with the appropriate body loom and engine loom combined, its almost finished.

is it ok if i just use the original radiator temperature sensor and Hi Pres SW (hi pressure switch i assume) to turn the radiator fan on? It doesn't appear to need to run through the 2nd gen ecu and looks totally independent of it.

Will this 2nd gen still run fine at the 1st gen operating temperatures? I don't see why there would be a difference because they are the same blocks but maybe in the head there might be something that differs?

I got all the gen 1 bits there in working order (besides the original motor), and i don't wanna have to fish for jdm components for a none aust delivered engine configuration (jdm gen 2 - 3sge from a st182 celica)
