The rules for the Fun Day are quite clear "no open wheelers" I don't know what they were thinking. The bloke driving that big old thing was a pain in the arse, he sat in the middle of the track, which made it very hard to pass.

The cressida went pretty well considering i have a hole in one of the intercooler pipes. The Skyline brakes were definitely a bit step up from the stock brakes i had last time i went. It's still a bit of a boat though. I really should have got my act together and organised to have one of your swaybar contraptions made and fitted before the Fun Day.

haha that hard part would have been getting MY ass into gear to make them lol, they have been on the back burner a bit as ive got shitloads on atm and my bad back makes it hard to go do stuff in the shed
and yes i agree on the skyline brakes, they are the gift that just keeps giving! first 2 sessions at the tampered day last yr i had no fade at all, last session they started getting a bit hot tho, but thats after a fair bit of punishment.

almost never stop stopping
like i said last session at tampered i was running out of pedal, but i can scream up and down Mt. D. all nite, washing off some serious speed into corners without any real probs. thats with slotted rotors, semi-metallic pads & high temp fluid.

I suspect the girl in that Liana was a first timer and was doing the best she could in a pretty over whelming situation... she was one of the ones I was thinking of when I suggested that there needed to be a beginners group... must have been fairly intimidating to have cars dive bombing you left right and centre when you dont have much idea of what you are doing..
Ah ok yeah she'd dropped herself right in at the deep end! Hope the experience didn't put her off trackdays.
I would have thought the fun day should be the shallow end of driving on a circuit... anyways she was a mobile road block no too ways about it... I would have thought someone should have had a chat to her about mirrors, racing lines, getting out of the way of faster cars etc etc... times like those they need some instructors handy I reckon
Anyways, its easy to have an opinion about these things... its another thing to actually put the event on. I reckon it was a great event and well worth the spend and congrats to Winton for putting on something so cheap!
