so Ian has it got any better???........if you are currently sitting there nursing a digit twice its size then I guess not........looks f___kin painful.....hope it is just bruised and not broken and you can get yourself sorted for tomorrow.
Done... The lady on the phone (Nadine) said there's no official cut-off time however suggested "it would be a wasted effort to turn up after 1pm".

+1
I think I saw a lot of you on track but didn't talk to anyone but Steve.
Really crowded track today. I have some funny incar footage of a Merc and that Oldsmobile spinning.
zomg so tired but well worth it. Learnt alot about the car, its capabilities and what needs to be worked on. I overheard that on one of the sessions there were around 66 cars on the track at once!

it was a good day
it even turned out warm enough to have short sleeves
well it had to happen sooner or later
the shitter played up a bit , first i had to tighten the main jets
then we had to tighten the tail shaft / uni joint bolts
this is the most i have ever had to do to it at the track in seven years
its starting to be unreliable lol
here are a couple of piccys of the day
my friend Ron had his first run in the car

coming into the pits with a vibrating tail shaft

Good day... traffic was crazy and some of the kamikaze shit out there was frightening.... oh wait... that was me... Sorry Eddie if I scared you during your ride hehehe
Here is some video from one of the sessions. Joey, Graeme and kamikaze Oscar can all be seen at work towards the middle of the first video.

...geez did Oscar make a 2T do things it was never meant to!.......he was driving like a man possessed.....bog stock TA22 FTW...........awesome day.......the red banger performed its job admirably.......gotta work out a better oil catch can situation but other than that I was well happy with its performance.......oil pressure was good and engine temps were normal so can't ask for much more than that........ended up doing 570 kms yesterday........235 there, 100 on track and 235 home........$30 entry and about $70 worth of fuel and I had a wicked day out for 100 bucks.
....oh and if anyone has any shots of my car on track (red '22) pls post them up........bring on the 6Hr!!!!!!!!!!!

next stop, the 6 hour!![]()
hi matty
we looked for you to see if you needed the car towed out the front
but couldnt find you
how did you go getting it home .?
nostalgia is not what it used to be:
thanks ian,
we got the towie at the track to dump it out the front. ive got a mate from somerville (who is a champion) to pick up a tandem trailer, and make the epic drive up to collect us. we then took the car back to where i work at fountain gate to unload it.
then by the time we had done that and returned the trailer, i ended up getting home at almost 2am, which considering we had been up since 4am that morning, made it a loooooooong day!
now i think im coming down with a cold, just perfect.....
yeah i know the feeling
just when you think things cant get worse -- they do
nostalgia is not what it used to be:
...glad to see that a nut and bolt check on your car was finally undertaken Ian.......even if it was Ron who did the work and you stood back and 'supervised'.......still pretty minor stuff for a car that sees its fair share of track time.
