QuickSteel, good for 360C (or so) and massive pressure =) its a 2 part epoxy/filler you can use it for steel repairs etc and also re drill it, whatever.

I thought quicksteel was only good as a filler though not as a bonding compound?

Firstly, I think I have forgotten to mention one important thing here. The transducer which I am attempting to glue to an alligator clamp is plastic not metal. So are the above recommendations still valid?

i've used the JB weld on many 'metal/alloy' things, it's great stuff. but onto plastic, hrmm. spose you jut have to try it.

i've even seen the yanks use it to hold new/modified i/c pipes into i/c's...

my suggestion would be to use the quiksteel to make a mount for you to attatch the plastic thingy.

quiksteel is very strong, but it relies VERY heavily on a perfect surface, so if your going to use it, degreasing the area is a must, the more roughed up, and clean, the better.

Quicksteel can be drilled, tapped, ground etc. its basically metal, but as an epoxy, its awesome.

can you post a pic of the two things you intend to join together?
certain materials will not bond to certain glues, and sometimes you can use geometry instead to hold the buggers together.
i used normal 5 minute araldite to hold together a radiator and a welch plug for a year, so it can stand up to some heat.. depends how you use it.

Get some hi-temp exhaust gasket glue it will stick it. I've stuck pieces of aluminum on exhuasts with holes and they keep stick pretty tight.
