with your rad overflow, they usualy ask for an overflow overflow, i sent mine to a coke bottle with a bit of vacuum tubing

Yeah, Mike speakz the truth. Rules say anything which could drop liquid onto the track needs to have a catch can. Only needs to be 600ml. (most factory radiator overflows have there own overflow as well which needs a catch can.).

Ok then, how did you make a catch can out of a bottle and a bit of hose?

on a jza70, there is a barb on the overflow cap with a short bit of hose that goes nowhere. piss of the short bit of hose, put on a bit or windscreen wiper hose/vacuum tubing to a coke bottle cable-tied close by. bore a hole in the top of the coke bottle, jam the hoos in there.

Just a thought, engine bays are hot, coke bottles are designed for cool liquids. No problem with melting? Is this the sort of thing I should be putting on in the carpark just for the drags?

Nah man, its fine. I got mine ziptied right onto the radiator and its lived a fair while so far.
