Car's all ready as well, no more high speed stability problems with the bald front tyres (eh heh...) and no more huge negative camber!

It is a little down on power due to one particular problem tho... still give it a go.

Um few q's, I've never been to the drags before, whats the general process, and are we going to meet up beforehand in any particular place or what happens etc.

Rock up early. Line up outside gate.

When going through gate, pay monies.

Go straight to scrutineering. (Drive through gate and go down first road on the left all the way to the end (the building you see is the scrutineering shed).
Turn left and go down a bit and then right 180deg into scrutineering area. wait to be scrutineered.

Then park car and take paperwork to desk near the scrutineers area. with current drivers licence.

I prolly rock up there around 4-5ish? hopefully take half day off work heh.

can meet up somewhere beforehand if you want dood.

I wont have time to meet up beforehand... I'm leaving work early (early start bleh) at 4 and going straight there, so hopefully 5.

Do us a fav, if I don't see you but you see me (which is likely eh heh) give us a wave or something. I doubt there'll be any other black JZA70s there...

How tough is scrutineering? They wont mind a teeny power steering leak and the car being too low will they?

they give no fark for lowness LOL.

Bad leaks will be frowned upon.

Give your rack a wipe beforehand.

Need a radiator overflow tank.

Make sure theres nothing loose.

Have helmet ready for inspection also.

Make sure tyres are legal. (in the sense of tread depth)

and usual safety things like belts, brakes etc.

If a JZA70 came stock with a rad overflow tank/bottle it'll have one.

Theres no bad leaks... not anymore. I'll give it a quick degrease and wipe beforehand, so it doesn't look worse then it is.

I will probably come down to watch, but I think I'm going to have to give it a miss. The car was a noise that I've not been able to track down. I've so far changed the diff and I've pulled apart and reassembled the brakes. My current thinking is front wheel bearings, and the last thing I feel like doing is hurtling down the track at over 140kph and not being able to pull up. I'll probably get a quick chance to have a look tomorrow, but I don't like my chances of doing anything useful.

Damn, everyone is dropping out. At this point I would normally be inclined to call you pansies. But I might have to work late this week anyway

Also, just so everyone is is the know, we don't have enough cars to book out a lane so basically its a run what ya brung type of affair. If I can't make the racing hopefully I can still drop past a little later to spectate.

with your rad overflow, they usualy ask for an overflow overflow, i sent mine to a coke bottle with a bit of vacuum tubing
