Default 7MGE valves needed - any second hand?

I've mentioned elsewhere on this forum that I'm curently replacing a blown head gasket on my MX-83 Cressida with 7MGE engine. It was replaced only 85,000km ago by a previous owner at some local repairer.

I wasn't going to touch the head as I recently adjusted the valve shims. However, as the gasket kit included valve seals & cam oil seals I then thought I would replace these as I remembered it sometimes blew a puff of smoke on start up.

I then noticed that some of the cam bearing halves from inlet & exhaust were mixed! I then removed the plate behind the cam gears and noticed the oil seals were glued in but could be spun by hand. That explains one of my oil leaks. They had reused the old seals and they were already compressed from before.

Now I've removed the valves I noticed that about five of the exhaust valves have been ground down to about the minimum edge thickness of 0.5mm plus one of them is chipped.

Has anyone got any old but useable valves they could give me or for a reasonable price? I live in Sydney so could pick up. I don't think I can afford new ones. Thanks.

i can help you out but they are in melb so would need to be posted. throw me an offer for all 24.... plus i reckon $15 should cover post no stress.

i would also check the cams for wear if the caps were mixed up.... the head is line bored with these in their correct location so its pretty likely the cams were not running true if they were mixed up. ur actually pretty lucky they turned at all.... i dummy assembled a bottom end the other day and mixed up the main caps & the crank would not turn at all.

also seen your head re: supra VRS kit, if u need the circular manifold gasket i may have one lying around i can throw in the box

Thanks. What is your telephone number.

Also, the missing gasket is not the long flat one between the head & manifold, but the circular ring down next to the gearbox where the exhaust pipe bolts to the bottom of the manifold. The cressida has two small outlets and I was presuming the Supra turbo has one large pipe from the turbo. Is that the gasket you are refering to?
