    Default Engine lid tips

Ok, basically im flush mounting a large intercooler to the engine lid, cooler stand offs are mounted and its all been test fitted. Its all been cut out and fibreglassed. Now the filler needs to be used to smooth it all over and sand it back and give it to someone to spray. Any tips and hints anyone can throw at me. I went to a few body shops, cheapest someone wants to do it for me is $400 so id rather do most of it myself (first time) and get it sprayed for $100 instead.

    Woah!
I thought the whole idea of intercooler upgrades was to cool better - this looks as if it'll enable MORE engine heat soak, as mr2 air flow is upwards through the engine bay.

Interesting idea.. My suggestion is definitely monitor air inlet temps

yeah well, it wasnt my plan, got the car like this and im finishing it (got it very cheap after a lot of talking etc and it needed a bit of work). Technically, there should be a low pressure area above the engine lid behind the window to help suck air out but it wont be cool, it will be hot air which is lame. I would like to go Water to air but not in the mood. Everything is setup for this so im just gonna finish the lid and see how it goes. Then maybe W2A later and see if it makes much difference.
