Default Got the car now for the conversion.

    http://toymods.net/forums/showthread...ighlight=vzv21

    I got the car.

What can you get for $500

not much but it is a start and anything you screw up is not so expensive a loss!

Pulled off the plates to find more numbers, at least we can trace its time line and how it ended up so stuffed.

I thought the engine was in the front but it was in the back.

Love those numbers 2 more than a four!

Heads are off, how the hell you get the upside down one off is a mystery

No pistons in bottom and sump is still on, conrod busted in three places.

It was a gift sat in a car yard right under my nose while I chased shadows on Ebay (Dodgey Deals Done DUMB good?)

I just sat inside and it is pristine, velour clock, am/fm stereo graphic equalier climate control, electric mirrors cruise control 4 sp auto overdrive etc etc $31G in 1990.

    car $500 + New Engine $1500 + Gearbox $1000 + LPG $1500 = 5 speed 200 kph car for under $5000 on the road.

Actually its been a good week sold my Turbo gas 280ZX, which needed rego and bought a hoist a V6 camry another 280zx complete set of disc rotors and pads and filter set for $300 and still have enough for a few beers

    No offense but......
Seen all the Camry's on the street?
    Like assholes everyones got one.
VZV21's Narrow bodied, light and fast point well, stop well, and with 5 speed manual and a 3L engine a real sleeper, and truly will be unusual uncommon and awesome.
And if I can ever figure out how they make them FWD in japan ill do that as well.
$31000 in 1988 full import JDM not an Australian clone from Altona.

I could have bought an LPG camry off ebay for $1700 the other day pass.

I already have my factory wheels I found at a wreckers that no one could figure out what they fit. (originally $700 15x6.5 each like Supra wheels) got them for scrap value ($25 each).

jfallen: I was always of the mentality that if you cannot say something nice dont say it at all and yes 5thousand might get you a good camry but it would most likely be an sv21 3sfe 4cyl not a Vzv21 2vzfe v6.

Anyhoo, good work steve on the new purchase She looks like she needs a bit of tlc but nothing some hard work cannot fix. I would try and hunt up another 2vzfe motor + your E153 manual tranaxle and she will be supurb! Good to see another alpine white one as well. Just out of interest did she come with a front v6 black lip? and would you be willing to part with it at a suitable price? Let me know.

    Cheers Timma

Just got a 150000K engine for $790 delivered and found an second spare parts car in CV and a E153 for $450. .

Originally i paid bout 6200 for mine about a year ago, then again it only had 89,000 on the clock and the interior is mint. Grega, the ultima was australian made out of altona with the 3sfe and was the top of the line out of the australian factory. The VZV21 v6 2vzfe was all japanese delivered and featured slightly different bumpers mirrors and interior, and of course the much improved engine. In my opinion the australian model doesn't even compare.

As Timma said the ADM Ultima doesn't really compare to these models.
I paid $6000 with 12months reg for mine 3 years ago, and that was good price to what other ones were around. Mine, like Timma's, has a mint interior and the body was perfectly straight without rust. Most of the low priced Ebay ones you see have little problems with them and aren't particulaly mint examples in my experience.
