RA40 with IRS? Conversion possible?
Hey, I've been looking at diffs since I got my gearbox from an RA60. I realised that the RA40 and RA60 have different diff ratios.

According to this you the SA63 has the right stud pattern, possibly the correct axle width and the right ratios. My only question is if anyone knows if it's possible to put IRS in an RA40 with ease.
Just a thought, thinking maybe since I need a new diff anyway (my gearbox is w55 and matches with t312 in celicas).

Rob has put IRS into his, he has building pics. sorry no link for you but it's easily found with search.
not a simple job. requires welding and grinding of both car and irs subframe.
