to make it work right your going to need to use the ra60 crossmember as well, even if it's free doesn't mean its a good idea to use.

Ah, his first post says he IS using the RA60 crossmember and having it modded to fit. So effectively it will work pretty much the same as it did in the RA60. Only issue is going to be guard clearance but the steering geometry should be perfectly fine.

Having a rethink of it, you will need to check the height (and length) of the steering arm compared to the RA60. The S13 hubs have it built in and basically you have to space down the steering tierod end in order to maintain the factory angle. You can't use the Toyota style RCA's as the hub is attached completely differently. My approach would be to retain RA60 struts and convert to coilover, with a bit of welding you can actually fit S13 coilovers to your RA60 struts and retain the dual adjustability of many of the aftermarket setups. Bolt spacing is right for the Nissan calipers/discs with minor mods and a spacer.

buddy if you are running a front sump for the 18rg motor get a ta23 xmember then go the ae71 /ke70 rack will work out better in the long run also can use the ke70 /71 steering column as well with the covers and this will all bolt in no problems
going to ra60 will give you to many problems with scrub radius and bump steer and also ackerman just to name a few

Is that with the S13 bits in it? What sort of difference is there in the steering arm length and the height between the balljoint in the LCA and the steering tierod end compared to the RA60 stuff?

needs a bit of a wheel alinment lol but all looks like it did in the ra60 thats with the s13 gear in yes

im running about -3 deg camber to fit the wheels in and it looks great... the lower control arms are still at an angle to.. will post pics soon so then i can all prove ya wrong hahahha jokes

Nah, the issue i'm getting at is the angle of the steering arms matching the LCA angles. I havent looked at S13 stuff for a while but was sure they sit the steering arms higher which can cause issues. Full RA60 setup unmodded is fine (very similar to what I've done) but mixing with the S13 stuff MIGHT cause an issue. Will be interesting to see pics.

I've run S13 coilovers with associated brakes and steering arms in my RA60. I also ran that with MX63 LCAs (7cm wider than standard). I didn't suffer much in that way of steering issues with this combo. I didn't lower the car excessively though. With nothing more than a lock spacer, the lock was better than almost any S13/180/S14s with all the fruit.

I've now gone back to RA60 gear, but that is only because some RA60 struts converted to coilover with big brakes came up at an unbeatable price.

In regards to bump steer and the like, check nissansilvia.com for solutions. S13 gear is not too bad in an RA60/65, but I wasn't a fan of it in a very low AE70.

yeah i was thinking of getting steering rcas which make the steering and lca the same angle even without these it isnt much differnt like 1 or 2 mm which i know would probaly cause some issues but i wont be driing it without rcas

The problem with the S13 gear is you can't get RCAs, you can either get taller balljoints which aren't ideal or you can blow a couple thousand on some GP hyper knuckles
