Default 2 Inch Gauge Mounting/Hole Cutting

What do people use to cut holes in steel for the usual 2inch gauges?

The obvious answer is a holesaw, but I've noticed that a lot of the gauges are actually a touch bigger than 2 inch, which makes me think that they wouldn't fit into a hole cut by a normal holesaw?

Or is this just to ensure that it's tight?

normal holesaw will make the hole a little bigger anyway?

Heh, do it with a hand held drill if you want it a bit larger than the size on the holesaw.

It's going to be with a hand held drill anyway, so I guess that answers the question!!! :-)

51-52mm holesaw? Used to use them all the time.
