Said cannonball helmets meet the new requirements as far as I'm aware. Not to hard to look at a sticker in store though to double check.

Yes, the CMC cannonball helmets do meet the AS/NZ1698 standard if they are new enough stock........

fact remains there are potentially several entrants expecting to be able to use their existing helmets that the Dubbo City Car Club may not accept on the day........

That's no good Nerm! Make it happen! Work on Easter Sunday just sounds like a good excuse for a sickie to me

Hydraulic handbrake install in the Corolla is finished tonight, so another step closer to being ready for the T-Nats

    Back in the game!!!!!

I'll be coming up with you guys on the Friday, staying Friday night and the coming back to Canberra on Saturday night after the motorkhana.

The 3 night room has been 'given' back to the motel, I spoke to the boss and she said they wont have any trouble filling it. I couldn't use the room in the end as I will only be staying for one night.

Nerm I can sort you out for a lift home on the monday if that was your issue.

The mighty Ralli art will be entering to fill places if your mate wants to bring his skyline, can also spot larger helmet (read fucking big) for the drags as I won't be using it.

On that note anyone got a helmet I can borrow for Laura, just not sure we'll need to buy one yet.

Thanks for the offer dude but its all sorted.

My friend didn't want to run his skyline if there was no chance of him winning anything, there didn't seem like much point. I've got a job application on the go as well so it is probably a good idea for me to come back early so I can work on it anyway.

Also the reason why I'm coming back early is because the guy I'm going up with has to work on Sunday. It would be a little hard for him to drive in the motorkhana, then have to drive 5 hours back to Canberra, have a 4 hours sleep then go and do a 8 to 9 hour work day

fair call, however the skyline would still get timed and at the drags and unofficially at the Kana, Toyotas won't be the only thing at the drags as the Dubbo City Car club boys always run cars to. So its grudge racing Skyline V Toyota V Magna V everything else. No trophys but still damm good fun

    so anyone got a helemt????

I think he doesn't see the point of driving 10 hours to a motorkhana event when there is one on in Canberra this weekend, The not winning prizes was the straw that broke the camels back as it were.

    He is a ghey then.

Honestly nationals is probably 1% about the Trophies. The drive is half the fun, drinking at the Matilda, talking shit amongst people you catch up with once or twice a year. Then having a crack at the events, honestly last year probably only 20-30% of the entrants of the khana signed up to set fast times the rest did it to let loose in their cars and put on an awesome show.

He is in the current National Motorkhana winning team and placed 5th outright in the National Motorkhana Championships so there is a good chance that he would have won something

Really thats awesome congrats for beating everyone considering most would be competing for the first time in a car that isn't suited to the event.

You're missing the point Nerm, it isn't about winning the Nationals are about having a weekend on the piss and having fun. If all he is concerned with is winning a trophy then it probably isn't the place for him anyway.
