3Y into KM20 liteace

hey guys got a KM20 liteace the other day for nothing, thinking about throwing a better series motor in, what will bolt in easy enough (including gearbox and diff). Thinkin about a 3 or 4Y seeing as these came with a 2Y and 5 speed in the super wheels 1.8 version. Seeing as hilux's had Y series and R series motors in them, maybe a 22R-E would be a good swap too

apparently you have to change the sump to a 4K, but the 7K-E is still a nugget anyway, but at least it would bolt up to the gearbox.....which is still a 4 on the tree.....hmmm

4K sump won't fit./. would need to space engine up a bit etc...
7KE is a nugget but maybe better than a Y series..

shouldn't be too hard to set up any van typ box with the column shft tho...
22R with van box would be ok, but would drive like a truck ... turbo would help... lots of 22R bits in the states

did any vans have the 22R though....old hiaces had the 18R, right?.....or, which box can i put in that will bolt up to a 22R....box out of a hiace?

not... sure....

however there are odd BH's that will allow funny mountings... ie there is a K BH that goes to W box (for a van) so there must be a W shaped van box that can mate to other engines.... if you see what i mean

anyway, i'll let ppl who know what they are talking abotu chime in
