Default silvertop - Need more rpm

    G'day,

Id like to get another 500rpm out of my 20v before it hits the rev limiter as i feel there is more power there.

first up are you hitting the proper limiter or the lower limit without the speed sensor, basically whats it stopping at?

Either way you should get that ecu and bin it, it's a pile of junk

7500? you haven't connected the speed sensor input have you? I don't know much about ECU's just don't get a wolf, they have issues reading the crank angle sensor sometimes. Also this might help:

keep in mind my knowledge on the subject is very limited

Its revs to 7700 RPM when held flat to the deck and just go's bap bap bap bap bap bap

Ive had nothing to do with the ''speed sensor input'' and dont know what it is.

Whats this ''proper limiter & the lower limit'' you mentioned?

Factory rev counters are not accurate enough to tell much,
some are up to 1000rpm out a 9000rpm,
so going off that is a waste of time.

Need to find the actual technical spec or a data logger to be sure.

You should get about 8200 rpm out of it with the speed sensor connected. (Purple wire to ECU IIRC).

But unless you have done some tuning to the engine, my call is that the the revs you get will not net you any power. Take a look at my dyno run under the xAxx engine series in this website. Power don't go up.
You can see with the e-manage blue tune that those revs suddenly become useful.

Must have unlinked itself. It is linked now. But still barely worthwhile. I guess you could say that it didn't lose as much power when upshifting...
