Fully programmable ecu will solve all you issues and create some cool new ones like the need to start upgrading cams n shiz.


I'm feeling that your limiter problem is the common speed sensor cut, do you know if your car has an electronic speedo or a cable one?

If it has a cable the ecu will freak out because it doesnt have a speed sensor reading, and the only way to fix this on a stock ECU and using stock instruments (dash) is to either run a speed sender to the ecu and have no speedo. Or do a dash swap and use the AE111dash cluster that has a electronic speedo.

Of course you can also get around it by doing the sensor install and just run a aftermarket/external speedo to the one in you twincam cluster, but it would look messy.

I would almost guarantee there is a speed sensor built into the standard speedo in that car,
just needs to be hooked up properly,
possibly through a 1K resisitor to ign to create the square wave signal.

otherwise a Jap spec speedo head will have it and fit right in.

doesn't have to have a electronic speedo, as the cable speedo's have a reed switch in the head.
