some ppl have used TA22 clutch master and to actuate, ran the rod off the original pedal...

basically, replicate something like that and all good. i'm sure there are pictures either here or on the old forums...

just look around at the threads of ppl putting 4AG into KE3X/KE5X... they all had to do it somehow

    Hello wilson,

I used a standard ae86 clutch cylinder, cut a hole through the firewall at the center of the bolt pattern that exists and installed it in the obvious place. This leaves one major problem - that is that the fulcrum length then avalable to actuate the clutch is too short and you do not get adequate clutch travel.
i ended up pulling the pedal box out - takes a bit of fiddling but will come out in an hour and modifying it by moving the pivot pin up approx 40mm - as high as it could go by drilling new hole. I then welded a push rod connection onto the pedal arm and increased the pedal length to bring it to the same height once installed in the car as it was previously.
An alternative i am told is to dispense with the old bolt pattern and fit the master cylinder lower on the firewall. To do this you may have to cut through some pressed metal brackets attached to the inner side of the firewall. Also a bit messy and does look as good

    cheers peter
