    You don't want to spin the thing more than 11,000 RPM (14,000 short term). That's the rated max speeds.
    Maximum long term pressure ratio is 1.8, short term is 2.0.
    It has been found that 18PSI is the catastrophic failure point for the SC chargers. They die REAL quick due to the heat causing the lobes to enlarge and contact each other as well as the housing, stripping off and melting the Teflon coating.
    However, if you use water injection above, say 13PSI and monitor temperatures, you may be able to push more boost out of it. Until you hit the RPM limit that is.
    The only way you're going to beat the RPM limit for more boost is to pump more air, ie. use an SC14

    Or use a much better designed SC like an Eaton.

    An Eaton/ Magnuson MP 62 pumps less air per revolution than an SC12, but it takes less hp to drive, heats the air much less in the process and has much less internal leakage.

    I think there may be to many expectations of the old straight, 2 lobed superchargers.
