As secretary of the Newcastle Sporting Car Club (NSCC) I would like to thank the Toymods community for supporting and participating in such an awesome event on Easter weekend. You guys were well behaved and were well recieved from the Cams officials. NSCC will look forward to running the 'khana for you guys next year.

Also NSCC would love to have any of you guys join up, we are Cams affiliated (if you were thinking of getting a cams licence) and will be running more events such as Dubbo in the near future (we have one in the works for newcastle). PM me for any details on how to join.

Shhhh...that 'real' V8 sound came from a cd i was playing thru my stero, my car is only a straight 6... I wasn't able to run in the drags as i was too busy recording everone's times in the officials box... or maybe I was just scared of going up against a 1j panelvan (that thing is mental).

If any one has any video/ photos of my GT-P can you please send them or post to youtube, thanks, such as this awesome one from Nocturnal Photography:

(dont know if that will work, i'm hopeless at posting pics on any forum)

P.s. Thanks for the help Rigs (Hiro... lol)
We're a bit more anal about who we let on here, but it seems some bogan has managed to slip through the net

I'm pretty sure everyone on the forum here would like to thank NSCC for stepping in to run the motorkhana. You guys did really well.

Just wondering if we got a year's CAMS licence on the day, whether that included the club membership or not?
Because I'm certainly keen to do a few more events (once I fix the rubbing issue I have on the right front corner) now that my car is being retired from work duties (I didn't see anyone else on the weekend running their work car)

CAMS lic comes from CAMS so that would have just been a day lic....you can upgrade to a yearly lic at a discounted fee i believe.

    Default I love dubbo

Because i know some of you fellas are not on Facebook, i thought i'd share this with you in light of Jack and Shane's efforts to show their respect for the place by wearing these shirts
    to the presso night

Furthermore, i came across the Facebook page for Dubbo fans:
    http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5221442097

    Well worth a look

If you can't wait, here's some info as provided by some Dubbo-loving-local-jock - Enjoy!

-Home of Dubbo Cyms, Dubbo Demons, Dubbo Roos, Dubbo Rhinos and Thirsty Merc.

    - It’s not a town it’s a city. 40,000 people is a lot. So no we don’t know So-And-So.

    - Yes we have a zoo; no we don’t go there every weekend. It’s for tourists.

    - We so do have a beach. But you wouldn’t take your shoes off there.

    - We’re so much better than Orange. Everyone knows that.

    - West Dubbo is not called West Dubbo.

    - Dubbo is not a hole. Wellington is a hole. Wellington people know this, and come to Dubbo whenever they can.

You know you’re from Dubbo when…

    - You tell someone where you’re from, they go ‘DUBBO?? HAHA! I’ve been there. Went to the zoo.’

    - There’s no need to clarify to friends where you’re going when you go out on weekends. Everyone knows you start somewhere nice (Milestone) move on to have a dance, (Pastoral) and inevitably end up wasted. (Mersh)

    - 5 hours to get to Sydney is not far. We do the round trip on weekends. Sometimes on the same day. No big deal.

    - You’ve been to the Old Dubbo Gaol once or twice when you were kids, usually with family friends from a different state or country.

    - Your version of a skyscraper is 20m high. Oliver House is also good for abseiling.

    - Lapping the main is something you only do once straight after you get your P’s. After that it’s just not cool.

    - You went to at least 1 party at KidZoo and it was AWESOME.

    - You don’t find the idea of working in an abattoir gross. You either worked there yourself, or know people who do.

    - You know how to avoid RBT units on Cobra, Macquarie, Wingewarra and Coborra streets.

    - You’ve been booked on at least one of the above streets.

    - Winter involves a bucket of water to get the ice of your windscreen in the mornings, and in summer you often wake up sweating in 30-degree heat at 8am.

No, much the same as last year, we could (And I did) get a yearly licence. This year it was a 2S licence, not a 2NS like last year.
So I just wanted to clarify.

You sure? Our CAMS affliated club can't issue anything beyond a day licence? $90 from CAMS for the annual with a bit of paperwork..you get a CAMs log book etc with your annual lic.

Unless the NSCC are submitting the paperwork on your behalf and you're waiting on the lic to come from CAMS?

Bingo. But this is why the question of clarification (though it's seeming a little obvious now)

How about a flying 1/5th Bathurst Light Car Club use to hold an event on Mount Panorama
starting at the top of conrod straight and ending just before the chase and your timed for the last 200m. Its about 200kms out of Dubbo but its a great event

That'd suck I'd be bouncing on and off the speed limiter all the way haha. Generally Bathurst has been having events across Easter so it is a moot point anyway.

Results will be up soon.....I promise. I've had major internet dramas (intermittently dropping out at most inopportune times). Please bear with me, I'll get them up soon.

Cheers and thanks for your patience Danae

how much faster are you going at the end of the bathurst straight compared to eastern creek? I know its a fairly general question but for example i was doing between 220 and 230 before braking on the straight at ec so how much faster would i be going at bathurst roughly?

V8's used to hit like 260-270kmph at EC vs 298-300kmph at Bathurst which is on the limiter for a touch just before the braking markers into the chase.
