+1 on a friends AE92 MAP GZE pulling timing but not on another friends AE92 AFM GZE, my AE101 GZE with fmic can be 50/50. Has anyone tried a new knock sensor instead of 2nd hand sensors from other engines?

My problem is definately triggered on startup. I can drive the pants of it make the problem go away. Turnb the car off anmd restart and it comes straight back.
JP suggested the STA wire might be incorrectly wired which wouldn't suprise me. The wiring isn't what I'd call good even by my standards.

It sure sounds good to hear that people are still trying to elude the 5500 rpm power drop. I have yet to do it but seems as though there may soon be a solid solution. Lets see some dyno plots as consistancy is key. Curious to know what you guys do about fuel cut at 15psi?

I fitted a new knock sensor and it's not as bad but still noticeable

might be better to incorporate a notch filter into the knock pre-amp if it only happens at a certain RPM theres no need to remove the knock sensing capabilities outside that frequency, also some form of attentuation on the knock sensor could do the job too but im not sure how this would affect genuine knocking.

i could have a go at chopping something up too, maybe try a different path to you terra and see what works ?

I would love to be able to use the stock ecu and power to redline like most performance cars on this planet do. If there is a circuit that will allow me to get there, then I am all for it. Keep in mind I also have an aftermarket ecu, but would not have gone that route if powering to redline where an option.
