2JZ timing belt crank cog removal? Am I doing it wrong?

Slip the sheet metal hook into shaft side of the seal, twist, set the bar bit against somewhere solid and push on the handle. It uses the bar bit as a leverage point and pulls the seal out. Works like magic.

I had to do this with my motor, but i had to drill and tap my own holes in the sprocket
