Mmmm a day off... how I wish!
Hope I'm not the only one who has the luxury of a day off to get unpacked and have a sleep in. First off big thanks to Adam for being Team Manager and for ensuring that our plan of everything going smoothly did just that......i'm sure you could tell from all the weary but smiling faces at the end of the weekend that your help made it a success.
Secondly I would pretty much just re-iterate Adams points above thanking everyone else who made it a great weekend. As much as we are an online community and bunch of Toyota nuts it is the events such as the 6HR and the teamwork that goes along with it that make the club grow and get people onboard. Nice work everyone.
Now i'm off to wash and unpack the car and take it easy for the rest of the day. Oh and does anyone have a spare '22 diff centre....seems mine was pretty much on it's last legs when I drove it into the driveway last night. That's what ya get with $50 wrecker specials...still the old car didn't let me down.

Just a quick question, does anyone have a copy of the 6 hour booklet with all the teams' details in it? I saw a couple on the table next to the tv in the garage but forgot to pick one up. I have a copy of last year's and would like a copy of this years.
I have some good shots from the weekend and will post them as soon as I get the chance. I'm sure everyone had a great weekend, because I sure did and can't wait for next year's.
Thanks to everyone that turned up. It was another great weekend and everyone contributed in some way to making it enjoyable .
It was unfortunate for the few drivers that couldn't race because of mechanical problems. I suspect a few wallets are going to be hurting in the near future... especially Ed's.
I have been reviewing the results on Natsoft and am a little bit confused as to what each bit of data represents. Is there a clear explanation of the table somewhere? eg: Cap, CL, Laps, Gap, Factor ...What do they all mean?
The end result for Team Celica was a little bit disappointing this year and will need to work out how we can improve for next year.

Going across the top
Pos = Position
Car = Car Number
Driver = Steering Wheel Attendant
Vehicle = Weapon of Choice
Cap = Capacity - not used for our event
CL = Class normally on a standard timing screen, but in this event is used as the Team Number
Laps = Number of Laps completed
Fastest Lap = fastest Lap for each steering wheel attendant in that session
Gap = the gap for each fastest driver's lap to the fastest overall in the team
Slowest Lap = I can't think of a smart remark about this one, its obvious
Factor = in this case it appears to be the difference betweeen the driver's fastest lap and slowest lap. The bigger the number, the less consistent, or less regular, since its a regularity event. How they use that to work out the result is something I would need to consult the regs for.
I would like to know what the ********* (stars) mean in the individual lap time section. I think they are laps that were on goal time, but not entirely sure. Would like to know what the times were rather than see stars...
what happened to Eddie and how did club car finish up
two 28's 1.5 23's

Adam,
I believe the *********** are when a car is deemed to be in the pits. They seemed to come up at the same time as when the driver's name went red on the timing monitor.
So the results doesn't show the driver's chosen lap time (the one to aim for), it also doesn't show how many goal laps each driver should get, or the number of handicap laps awarded for being a slow bastard?
We're trying to work out how the total goal laps is calculated.
Pac,
Eddie's car is not so well. It had spark issues on the Saturday that weren't able to be rectified for race day.
The white 28 had low oil pressure and a slipping clutch. The combination of the two made it impossible to drive.
The white 22 held on long enough to finish the day but is going to need its annual heart surgery before venturing onto the track again.

I'm still pooped :\ Had an awesome time tho and managed to come away without a drama.
Thanks to everyone who helped out and put up with some of my noob questions. Thanks trang for the food, thanks allison for being the manager and organising everything before and during the event and thankyou to the bmw team for providing some eye candy.
My car went really well, mechanically the only issue is getting a stronger spring for the idle screw and some high temp wheel bearing grease, meh. My first session out was ok, was struggling to keep my times consistant and get into the "groove". Second time out was much better, was much more consistant but a little too quick even when backing off, just a shame i had to come in, was having so much fun!
Without a doubt tho, the highlight of the wkend was riding andrews scooter, i gotta get myself one of those bad boys!
Thanks again to everyone, it was great. Can't wait to get back on the track!

Wow, what a weekend!
Thanks to everyone who made this happen... especially...
Ian, you got most of us into this, so if Emma asks, it's all your fault!
Ali, thanks for getting us in shape. It must have felt like herding cats at time.
Ed, your work on the stickers was amazing, I hope thing the engine issue isn't too hard to fix
Trang, great work on the food... and thanks to everyone who helped out on the barbie.
Slim, thanks to you and all the others for the shirts and helping out in front of the TV
Em and Loz and crew, we couldn't do it without you guys out there all day in the sun/dirt/noise timing lap after lap.
Camping was fun as always... I reckon sunday night camping afterwards with some beers, and no stress about racing the next day would be tops!
Good work by the porsche teams, getting first and second takes something pretty special! And for all the drivers that managed to have two days out and not a single accident that's pretty amazing.
And Emma wants to especially thank Ian and Steve Lee, for jumping a fence to turn the gas cylinder on outside the womens showers, after her super-caring boyfriend found humour in the fact that the gents was the only block with a working hot water system
I'm absolutely exhausted, after such a big weekend, so few hours sleep last night, a big day at work, but I just cant wait till the next one.
Ahh yes, now I see what the stars are.. I am an idiot.. I stared at this screen for days on end when travelling with the v8 circus.. I should know what the stars are!
Page 17/18 of the regs explains how they calculate goal laps..its freaking gobbledygook to me.
I am farken annoyed... seems today I lost the memory card with the Sundays racing footage on it![]()
Hey guys. I'm pretty tired and I barely drove. So...Ditto Timbos comments.
Despite everything, it was still a barrel of fun.![]()
Assumption is the mother of all f**kups...
It was his pleasure, he is always the first to jump in and help when help is needed. He is a great bloke.
Interestingly, the Porsche people did their drive stints in one continuos drive. 4 drivers divided by 6 hours equals 90 minutes each, which each did without a break. Good cars, that hold lots of fuel. So one driver goes out does his 90 minutes, then the next, then the next. It makes sense that the less time you are off the track the more laps you are doing, so effectively they only came into the pits 3 times for the event.
Had a great time too guys. Thanks for making me feel welcome and having somewhere for me to sleep.
Back at work in Perth today myself, what a pain!
BTW, the *********** times in the results may be for when cars are off the track, but they're also for laps for cars while under the Safety Car. When I was on the computer in the afternoon, that's what was shown/recorded during the safety car laps. Then times would appear again once back to normal racing.
