well the entry's for the six hour are full
i have just got back from neils place and he said that the moaning has started already
from teams that missed out , so officially we have three teams
two teams are fully paid for and i had to leave a $100 deposit for the third team
so now all we have to do is get ready

i have a shit load of work to do on the shitter
    1 change oil
    2 adjust brakes
    3 put in petrol
    4 pump up tyres
then it should be ok for the 6 hr
how are the other cars going ?

my car is / was going great....got the new Konis and King Springs fitted up yesterday and no more massive ride height and body roll like an ocean liner.....took it for the customary test drive and accelerator linkage was sticking....came home......undid the nut on the throttle shaft and then proceeded to strip that putting it back on...F*************CK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!..........off to Allans Carby Service tomorrow for new nut and work out the best way to get a thread back on it without butchering it any more........fingers crossed I don't have to take the carb off and get a new throttle shaft put back through it........damn Weber and their use of fine threads and soft metals!!!!!!!!

just had the head off the '40 spent some time giving it some love with the die grinder, new tighe cam with 480 thou valve lift, and 288 duration, 60 tho further shaved head (roughly 9.8:1 comp - wanted more but its on its limit)
lightening is till a work in progress, bumpers are gutter, most of the interior is gutted, sound deadening is out (10kg of the crap!)
short shifter has been made and works a charm

new seats are a work in progress, cant get them low enough atm, thinking of going back to the fixed back one

want to rose joint the rear end before the next fun-day/club sprint at Winton and sort out the castor rod bush's that are compressing badly under hard braking making it squirm

also wouldn't mind getting the R31 diff under there but not essential, cash for new tyres would be a bonus too but again not essential the bridgestones seem to hold up quite well

Well done guys, I haven't heard the contrary from Neil to say we were too late, he did acknowledge the receipt of the 'expression of interest' so I am feeling confident. This will be out 5th event, we have been running the AROCA 6 Hour since AROCA started running it.

if i have left someone out
let me know asap as i am still trying to locate my notes
    after office cleanout
    ian
the third team is full and we have two others on the waiting list
matt is running with us this year in his nissan gtr
also darryl will be in a celica this year giving his anglia a rest after an extensive rebuild
    from last years mishap
we will have a total of ELEVEN celicas from three teams racing
thats a good effort ,as we dont get to many more than that on a cruise
so there could be three celica's on the track at the same time
    should be good fun

    also another important point
team oddbods entry needs to be paid for
    pm me for BSB details

ok now that the teams are full i need details from everyone in
    team rising sun
    and team oddbods
alison also will need details for team celica
    we need cams licence numbers
    car details , capacity etc
    email adresses
    phone numbers
and car club and membership numbers
if we can have these details asap ,it helps the team managers
    get things in place early
also we need a list of volunteers
people that can do the timing and general gopher's
also a few nominated volunteers for a couple of hours
to help out on the grid etc

I'm pretty sure Alison has the celica teams details already. Trangle was keen to be our nominated grid volunteer for Team Celica.

    hi edd
    thats good
but there are always last minute details that slip by
i have a family member who does sports photography that is going to come up
she did a lot of piccys at the winton historics ,she is applying for the cams accreditation but as in the usual cams tradition it is near impossible , they want a comprehensive portfolio,on motor sport photography
before she is granted a permit
but is not allowed to go to the photographers vantage points to take them , typical cams

Nice work on getting 3 teams filled Ian....like you said we don't get that many to cruises sometimes !

Good to see Shannon has been coaxed out of hiding and will bring a '22 for a thrashing.

As for my details.....I am waiting until my car club membership runs out at the end of the month and then will pay for that and the Cams licence together so shouldn't be too far off.

    hi graham
your club membership and licence numbers are the same each year
this request was aimed at people that may not have there licence or joined a car club yet
the entrant details have to be sent in on broadsheet format that neil will be sending out to team managers
in previous years they were sent in firstly by hardcopy followed by the broadsheet system then signed again by the driver on the day
now it will be just sighn on the day , much easier

Team Celica is pretty much ready to go, we have our grid girl, drivers info, timers and BBQers for the weekend.

A reminder, that Trangle is organising the BBQ and snacks for the weekend. If you would like to join this great feast PM Trangle.

    Hello again everyone,

After a failry long period of time Shepo is back!

Cant wait to do the 6 hour again, last year was the best event ive ever done! however it was the last event that i did in the GTR. Yep the 6 hour finaly killed it... so its still sitting in the garage in need of an engine rebuild. im confident it will be ready in time for the 6 hour this year. and if not i can do it in my little Honda S2000 insted.

im looking forward to catching up with all of you again soon.

    cheers,
    Matty.
