i use AGX mr2 shocks in the front of my KE70 (sprinter struts) i find they shit over my old koni's however the free height of my springs isn't very tall so you get the spring moving around when the car is jacked up. my front spring rate is around the 6.5kg mark and on setting 2 the shocks are stiff enough to be bearable on road however track days i would go to 3, with 4 being a bit too stiff for my current spring rate.

the biggest advantage with agx over my old koni's is the external adjustment, also each step of adjustment stiffens bound and rebound whereas my koni's were only rebound adjustable. ihave never used tokico's so idon't know much about them.

my opinoin AGX very good for price $450 delivered (AJPS)

haha i'll let you guys into a little secret.
st204 AGX shocks..... $150 each at auto one.......

in fact 90% of the range can be sold for $150, you just got to know how to bargain.
my mate works there, and yes, that is with the minimum 30% mark up that auto one have. just goes to show alot of people are paying alot more than what they could be.

the KYB AGX shocks are NOT cheap - they cost 910 bucks for a full set at trade price, i haven't been able to get a price any better than this.
I aws able to get them cheaper than that including shipping from the states. Shop around if you arent sold on the HTS yet.

i have AGX's and love them. i'm using Ae86 strut tubes shortened by 1 7/8" using SW20 turbo inserts. have 7"x 300# coil-overs(in my RA21) and i love the firmness of the front suspension.

btw i got mine off ebay shipped for $235US for the pair!

    prices have dropped some what..

    Hey will,

I spoke to Allister last night and he is interested in a set of tokicos, you should try and setup a group buy and try and get them a bit cheaper. I might even get some, depending on how far off you plan on ordering them.

On pricing, I got my Tokicos through Alan at Techie on the Move. They were $780 and arrived within a week. And rumour was that $180 of that was freight.

I'm not sure a group buy would drop the price much. Possibly only on the shipping.

Has anyone bought any AGX inserts lately?
The best price I got was $200 ea but the guy told me that Auto-One stores in cities like Sydney are wholesalers also and can provide cheaper prices than smaller Auto-One stores.
