Its probably not the cause then.
Are you sure its wired up correctly?
If its not wired correctly it could still be in limp mode, which makes it chew the fuel.

You've probably checked this already, but its worth a look.

Have you had it on the dyno, checked AFR's during cruise/etc?

They should be at an almost perfect 14.7:1 under almost every situation except >50% throttle.

    Wired up correctly?

The engine or the o2 sensor?

The sensor is a single wire so no problem there.
Engine wise : it has no error lights, has been running fine so i dunno. I didnt do the conversion but looks right.

It may not be the cause, ill wait untill the full tanks done before doing anything else. I may aswell check the resistence on the water temp sensor aswell.

Nah, as in the engine itself.
One of the guys on lextreme was driving around for a year or so with it in limp mode, and as such down a bit on power, and using a LOT of fuel.

I *think* it had +12v ignition wired to the START input on the ecu (simple mistake) so the ecu was constantly running with cranking enrichment and timing (at least, thats my take on the situation).

I'm not sure if it would throw a code though, as the guy seemed quite switched on when it came to checking things (like codes)

I'd grab a pinout of the ecu if I were you, and check that every sensor, pin is within spec. Use the 7MGTE TSRM as a guide.

Surely the limp mode would throw a code.

Well im getting around 350 to a tank before these changes so let us see what happens. I also had quite a large exhaust leak aswell so id imagine that should help things out too.

It wasnt too bad in my case replacing them (space wise) just unplugging the sensor ended up in a destroyed plug

I changed these and they didnt make a difference. Just got some replacements from autopro.
