Looking forward to the show. I just hope they direct the grocery-getters to the public carpark this time. Last time I contacted one of the organisers he did say they would be trying to maintain the quality of the show by restricting entry to veteran, vintage, classic and special interest vehicles.

seems to have a vacuum leak...needs revs to run... hunts up and down...

only thing i can find though is the ballast resistor thing sitting on the coil is very hot. not sure that would make the car not idle and run?

yep that by passes the resistor it gives 12v to the points instead of 8.6v
i have a piggy back terminal on one of the connectors when the battery is low or its hard to start i just pull the wire and connect it to the other one , i forgot to change it back once , and it ran all day like it
