If it has disk brakes, it is most likely an MS112 diff, if not then MS85. The width you gave seems to be spot on anyways. If so, then it is a 7.5" and lsds are plentiful.
Howdy
I have a Crown diff that came from a '70's Crown (S80/S100?).I don't have the rest of the car so can't look up id number etc. I assumed it would be a holden diff but it looks different to what I recall a holden banjo to be. It has ten bolts holding the centre in and is something in the 4.1:1 range. At 57" wide it is about perfect for use in an old Ford hot rod chassis I'm building but I'd be looking at a more user friendly highway ratio. Any ideas about interchangability of Toyo diff centres?? I don't speak Toyota model jargon so please go easy on me! Your help is appreciated.
Cheers

only MS112's 82-84 ish had disc brake rears. All crowns before that had drum rears.
If there is a rear plate than its a borgy, but if the centre comes out the front it will be a Toyota Diff, F series 7.5 inch
factory toyota ratios for the F series 7.5" are 3.5, 3.7,3.9 and 4.1 abnd as old school jap one said LSD centres are easily got.

Thanks guys. Yes it's a banjo type housing and so not a BW diff and it's got drum brakes. Now what has an F series diff at about 3.5:1 - (in non Toyota secret code), and are all the axle splines the same?
Cheers
yeah any F series centre will go into any F series housing, bearings may have to be changed, all splines are the same
3.58's came out in Manual RA65 Celicas.

I've also found a bit more info on this forum so now I'm off the the self serve wrecker.
Cheers and thanks again.
if you can find yourself an RA65 celica, which is a19805/6ish model celica ,with IRS, that should have a 3.5:1 ratio diff
