I'm surprised no one has answered you yet, I measured a pulley I had lying around, internal diameter is 24mm and external diameter is 38.5
I'm looking at buying an aftermarket trigger wheel and found one that might fit but i dunno what the ID of the 2TG pulley is. The Toyota manual doesn't mention it (that i could see).
The one for sale is quoted at 1.246'' (31.65mm) and is said to be suited for the Sierra 2.0 DOHC and the Ford Pinto 2L.

Thanks Invid.
Can i ask a stupid question as i'm a bit confused with your measurements? So the Ext Diameter of 38.5mm is the width of the hole that i'll need to bore out the inside hole on the pictured trigger wheel out to, right?

hks7mgt,
looks like a ford edis wheel 36-1. What management are you running?
On my 3tgte I bought a wheel from diy autotune for ~$25 Au plus delivery. I then removed the outer pully (which was for the Air Conditioner) which has 4 polts on a PCD and bolted the wheel straight on with on slight mods to the wheel (had to file the slots slightly to fit a m8x1.5 bolt through) as it is four bolts on a PCD then the wheel aligns perfectly.
I am not sure about the 2tg pully configuration, but I am sure a 3tc pully would fit and may have this config.

Sorry it was late at night when I wrote that post. The Crank shaft that sticks out of the engine has a diameter of 24mm. So you will need to find a trigger wheel that has a diameter of 24mm. The one you have found is way to large.
For my set up I bolted a trigger wheel to the pulley using the bolt holes already in the pulley (the ones you use to pull the pulley off the crank shaft). Unfortunately the 2TG pulley is a one-piece cast item and can't be separated so you will need to mount the wheel either in front or behind the pulley.

Invid,hks7mgt,
The wheel I am talking about bolted on the front of mine also this is the wheel here
http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/3...eel-p-182.html
the beauty of it is the slots that can be used to bolt it down, and the centre hole can be enlarged to fit the crank pulley bolt (with appopriate spacers) to centre it if the bolt holes avaliable are not on a PCD and are less than three (i.e. three bolts or more on a PCD will locate the centre).
This was easy on the 3tgt pully as it had 4 avaliable bolt holes on a PCD with a flush mounting face, I therfore did not have to worry about extending the centre pulley bolt or spacers. I am not sure what the 2tg is like, does it have two, three holes? and is it easy to bolt something like this on? if not I would consider looking at a 3tc pully to see if it would be easier.
Roger
My bad, I'm pretty sure the 3T and the 2T are (virtually) the same pulley. The DIYAutotune wheel would probably work just as well on the 2TG pulley.

3jcelica - i remembering measureing the outside diameter of the 2T(G) pulley and it was about 5in. This one you mention of is only 3.5in. I'd assume that'll be an issue with a Hall Effect sensor if the teeht are possitioned close to the pulley so that the pulley is larger than the trigger wheel?
They how ever make a 6.75in one but that'll foul other parts. I recal the 5in was a just-fit scenario when i measured it.
I'll need to look into the 3T pulley path and see where that takes me. Are you able to post a pic of one up here?

hks7mgt,
Apologies, the link I gave you was for example puproses, I use the 6.75" doesn't seem to foul on anything though, what is yours fouling on? I just tried to take some photos but being a difficult position and night they look like crap, hopefully I can get a better one tommorow.
Are there any bolt holes on the pulley you have? photos of the pulley you have would be good. The one you are looking for is a double pulley that runs two belts i.e. AC belt, this can be unbolted and discarded if you are not running AC and the bolt holes can be used for bolting on the wheel.
feel free to PM me an come around and have a look if you are close by
Roger
Firstly my car in the garage. Its a twin V-belt pulley and i can feel that there are two threaded holes where you could get a bolt into. I think the clearance issues i mentioned were referring to the timing markers as i originally intended to bolt the trigger wheel behind the crank pulley, but i don't think thats a goer.
This is one of a 2TG block i had and you can just make out its a twin V-belt pulley and you can see the two holes where you could get a bolt into.
This is a 2T single V belt pulley. A bit dirty thou. I wonder if there is any provision to bolt a trigger wheel on here as its far narrower?
My only concern will be clearance issues as i'll be mounting a thermo fan between the rad and the engine. I used to have the thermo infront of the radiator, but i think it's cleaner in the engine bay.
Roger, if you're up for it, i'd be happy to looksee at your setup and discuss how you when about it.
Check your PM.
