    Default ae82 radiator upgrade

my ae82 has a single core radiator

looking for a 2/3 core option that will bolt in (or very close to)

something off a celica/camry perhaps, if anyone has done this would be great to know what model. i'll spend some time at the wreckers but helps to know where to start

Are you looking for a performance upgrade or just simply a replacement?

IF its just a replacement ebay is your friend.

    I've fitted a 3SGTE so a single-core isn't going to cut it.

I'll take a look at Excels, later Corollas and maybe some Celica/Camry variants...

I had a look at a couple of Excels and they were single core? Same with AE92s as well. 4cyl widebody camry looked great until I realised it was 200 times too big.

ST184 Celica radiator looked prettymuch perfect, I didn't get a chance to trial fit but loose measurements say it's spot on. As a bonus the outlets are in the perfect place. I'll have a look for aftermarket stuff, assume ST185 will be the same?

Whats involved in making it fit in an AE82, I have been thinking of making up some to suit the 92 or 82 and will be interested to know how I can make them fit each other.

    cheers

I've got an AE92 SX radiator in my AE82 bigport, the top radiator inlet is in a much better position for the hose (so it doesn't have to loop over the top of the distributor/exhaust), but the driver's side top radiator clamp has to move though (mine was done dodgily so it doesn't clamp that much).

Size-wise I think they've basically the same though, just with the top inlet moved.
