yeh there's that collapsible spacer between the two pinion bearings, but you'll be fine if you mark the nut as i said a few posts up.

That specific to this diff, or a general thing?

I changed the flange on my old T series (and had to use an oxy to get the stupid thing off) - and did nothing bar swap the flanges, think might have got a new nut. Then drove around on it for 18mths with no problems?

    Interesting..

Absolutley NOTHING has come out of mine? Bar some oil...

I took off the nut, then there was one thick washer type thing, and the splined flange arrangement, then nothing else?

Although the input shaft of the diff does now flop around because it's not supported.

Nothing else has come out though?

30mm nut- flange - seal - big washer - bearing and bearingcup - collapsible spacer - shim - bearing cup and bearing -pinion teeth.

the collapsible spacer is about 3" long and sits on the pinion near the teeth side of it, youd have to take the outer pinion bearing out to see it.

All the stuff that fixeruperer is talking about is inside the diff, on the other side of the flange seal.
