It was interesting driving home as i left Silverwater it was sunny with clouds all round which was the same till just past Eastern Creek. Nothing looked to be directly above the track on the way through.

I got a bit of rain here in Penrith as well. Radar shows it to be very heavy just south of Sydney (must have been what you got Dean) and heading south-east. Though it does look like the bit of rain that i got is heading towards the track...

It didnt last long here though, buts its coming on and off now.

Of all the weather stations i checked, the one for EC received the least amount of rain, only 0.2mm recorded. Though there is a big chunk of clouds looming nearby...

I had a massive hail storm dump on my house Not happy, picked up a few dents , were some big units in the drop, mostly small, but a couple hit the spot !!!!!!!!!

Weather not lookin good at this stage either . I will be there workin , takin photos as per normal !

Well didn't I speak to early !!! The clouds have rolled in and it's now steadily raining here in Canberra.

What has me worried is that according to the BOM site Cloud increasing in the afternoon and a shower or two developing. The chance of thunderstorms and small hail.

It would appear that although all of yesterdays rain went out to sea, there is a reasonable amount cloud/rain heading north from Canberra. It does look to be moving slowly so hopefully it fizzles out rather than makes it here.

I have spoken to WSID and they wont make a call till later, as bad as it looks elsewhere, its still ok here. They said they will give me a call first as they know about the guys coming up from Canberra so you can have as much warning as possible. Are you planning a stop on the way up as i can give them a buzz just before the stop so that you can decide if you want to continue up?

Guys, Scott and I are going to pull out for tonight as we're not too keen on driving up, spending dollars on fuel and then not being assured of a run.

But, I'm sure Murphy's law will kick in and the weather will hold off and you guys will have a great night's racing.
