Talking Re: sunshine coast mob? how about a regular meet?

    Hey there,

I'll always be up for a coast cruise on the weekends - Saturday is ideal but sunday is probably do-able. If one is organised from brisbane to sunnycoast ... maby we could organise a second meet at one the of large fuel stations to incorporate the sunnycoast drivers who can't drive all the way to brisbane to meet ... then all the way back to the coast?

I live in montville so i could probably suss out some photo opportunities and a route if wanted... so maby off the highway at caboolture ... then out the back through the very spirited road past bald knob (sorry im in india at the moment ... road names escape me)..... then up the rest of the range ... then out the back past the most awesum view of the glasshouse mountains .... past mary-cainrcross park ... then out the back through centre of maleny ... then back onto the main roads to montville ... maby get some food at the pizzaria in motville there ... head accross the range through flaxton (get some photos etc) then down the range and possibly jump on the highway to noosa or go moolooaba for a bit of coverage or alternativly ... have a depart meet at the entrance to the highway and people can disperse to brisbane/home.

Just a jew ideas - ive done those drives a fair few times .... they are really nice ... especially on a clear blue sky day ... and early up in the mountains is perfect.

Great idea as I for one had given up hope that anything would take place on the Toyota scene in the Brisbane wider area. If there is nothing else on I could fill the tank and join with some like minded people.

the hill climb up from Kenilworth into Mapleton should be on every cruise - is one-way traffic, all bitumen, armco on the sharp corners and obviously built for hill-climb racing

Were you thinking of taking folks along Reeseville road (starting at the Maleny-Stanely River Road end)? it goes past the lookout which has great views of the coast and the hinterland.

This is a course I did for a bunch of us AW11 drivers in October.
    Google Map Link

Was a pretty good blast, covers most of the good roads on the sunny coast. We stopped at Montville for lunch If this turns into a proper cruise, some one PM me, I'm keen to start in Brissy

Just to get the ball rolling here are a few dates i'm available for a cruise. This month, 14th,15th, 22nd. Next month, 5th,6th,13th. As said before i'm new to qld so don't really know where things are so i can't really organize something, cruises are my way to find these places I pretty keen for a cruise, while things seem to be working in the car lol. I may also be able to talk one or 2 others to cruise up from brissy.

I'm currently carless but working hard to rectify that. If anyone has a TPS from a 16v 4age or a gen 1 or 2 3sge that would help me get closer to joining a cruise!

What do you know. I've now got one in the post!

What ever day you organize the meet it will suit some and not suit others, so just go ahead and state a day. Im sure it will suit at least 50% of the potential attendees and if there is another meet,!!!! just pick another date and that will suit others !!!!!!
