Ae86 Sprinter Sunroof Replacements

Hi

I have search the forum a few times looking for answers to this one.

I have been told we can get replacement sunroofs, I don't want glass, I would want another metal, fibreglass or carbon fibre replacement.

Does anyone have any links, or any places where i can get this peice

Would also need new rubbers

A genuine metal one was over $600 retail about 8 years ago. The seal was so expensive I reused the old one.

There is a crowd in NZ that make fiberglass ones, apparently pretty good from what I have seen on this forum.

Search around though no doubt someone will pipe up with their name.

could i trouble one of you ae86ers for the measurements of your sun roof? just i have an ra60 with a really rusty sunroof that i'd like to repair/replace.

I'd love one for an ST162 as well, currently the only rust in the car is in the sunroof (and there's a fair bit of it)

Of course it isn't an even sided rectangle, however an AE86 factory sunroof is 78cm by 37cm centre measurements.

I am sure an RA60 is bigger then that, as is an SV11 Camry.

Have previously measured them up looking for an easily obtainable inside sunroof headlining section. Without success, so plan to cutdown an SV11 one.

These cars are however are a good source for replacement hardware such as the wind deflectors, roof motors, switch panels and more importantly the little plastic mounting clips for the wind deflector that break.
