A couple turned up last year, anything & everything is welcome as long as it has a toyota badge on it.

Car is parked out in the rain, going to hit it with the chamois in morning. Stage 1 of cleaning done haha.
    If in doubt power out

There's been the odd low-lux there from time to time [BAG-11N] being the one that springs to mind.

Ditto, still got the left side and bonnet/front bar to cut and polish too if the rain holds off, plus give the engine-bay a onceover to clean it up. Hoping weather tomorrow will be like today, good polishing weather before the rain came.

I'm going to turn up in a bagged surf on a hilux chassis with a 1uz in it, traveling 5 hours for it because it's my first toymods show, hoping it won't rain

If it rains yes. If it is sunny we are in the open carpark.

Pouring hear now woo, there goes all the shit from the dust storm. Also means our water tanks will be nice & full so I can go nuts.

Oh we don't have them either, but the pump for the tank is like half way between a high pressure water cleaner & a garden hose so its great for getting rid of grime off the car but without doing any damage to the paint.

It's one hell of a price to pay, if that's the only perk.

It's not the only perk Traffic, size (you can drive from one side to the other in 30 minutes), no toll roads, better beaches closer together, better air, can get 90% of the stuff you can in Sydney, and close enough to Sydney if you do need to venture into the smog cloud.

Downsides include stone-age public transport (much worse than Sydney), and not being able to get that 10% extra stuff (which is probably the rare hard-to-find stuff that you really want anyway )
