14.7psi came from the pressure of the air on earth.

Where you are standing right now there is about 14.7psi of air pressure...

If you put 14.7psi of air pressure into an engine, you are putting about twice as much air into the engine (compared to if the engine was NA only)... twice as much air should also mean twice as much fuel, which should mean twice as much power...

I was just trying to show you that a slightly boosted 2JZ is more like a 6L NA engine, and it is a hell of a lot more modern and efficient than a mild 308 and hence will be making more power and more torque (and be more likely to slip clutches and break gearboxes )

    Cheers

hhhmm you could have a point there..

i see whats available for the 2jzge flywheel.

really need to keep a plate clutch though

edit: i think thats most of my questions answered for the time being thanks guys

    oohh oohh...

thought of something else on the way home from work..

is the imput the same on R154 and W5*?

then i could get the highest clamping pressure place i can find for the 2jzge flywheel..

Input is the same, but the PCD on the cover plate is different, gettign a push type R154 plate is going to be exceedingly difficult.

i ment use a R154 friction place with a 2jzge pressure plate. no issue then.

ill look up and compare part numbers between the 2jzge friction place and the 1jz one to make sure they arnt the same...

edit: just looked up the part numbers and the friction plates for 1jz r154 and 2jzge are the same!

And that gives you all of what? a 2JZ with a R154 friction plate running a W58... thats not progress.

That is wasting your time, that way you have to buy a pressure plate seperately from a clutch plate, rather than buying them in a kit.

Seriously, are you trying to do things the hardest way possible? Go out, buy a W58 flywheel, bellhousing, and trundle off to ExtremeClutch or Exedy and ask for a 7MGE or 2JZGE heavy duty pp and clutch disc.

    eerr thats the plan matey.

dont know how you think im trying to do something the hard way. just cost effective while having a reasonable set-up that will work.

Then you are making no sense, who cares if a R154 is the same plate as a W58 when you need Wseries gear...

sorry for not really making sense..

i was thinking that perhaps i could get a better friction plate for the R154 what isnt listed for a 2jzge W58..

then use that with a W58 pressure plate.

hope that make it a tad clearer?
