it depends if you are running a surge tank and want to run an in tank pump with a lifting pump
i am about to put an 18rgeu mtr in my 28 , i have a choice of a pump from a ra45 gt or a vn v8 commodore pump , surprisingly they are very similar

    Hi,

is it actually going to be efi??? If it is going to be carbied you can just use the normal 18r pump that bolts on the side of the block BUT BUT BUT the pump drive shaft (the shaft that drives the fuel pump) doesn't have the lobe provision for a mechanical pump if it is a genuine 18rgeu. Easy to check and easy to use if going carbs - take off blankinng plate and see if the lobe is there. Plate is on drivers side, roughly 5cmx5cm with two bolts holding it on. It is the smaller of the two plates on the side.
