head gasket kit and new head stretch bolts US$55.96
if you convert to AU$ and shipping from LA would set you back under AU$200

i dont want to advertise the company (forum rules)
    so do your own research......cough,cough..US-ebay-cough....

why on earth would you buy from overseas when the parts are readily available in australia and at a very good price???? WTF??

i used to always use monotorque HG's , now i buy stock toyota 4agze HG's, at a good price IMO. all other gaskets i just use monotorque, though genuine are still reasonably priced.
i do agree that while your there you can buy and replace the headbolts, but they can be reused with no dramas. ACL bearings and rings are my choice.

    Locote...

Rebuilding a complete engine, yes, maybe $2k... but just doing the HG... It's not that hard.

But if you are interested, I've got a complete 4age out of AW11 sitting in my garage if you are interested. PM me a reasonable offer...

    MIKE.

I think they were about $8 ea last time I checked (could be wrong though). I did actually replace a few but only because they were coroded from the coolant gallery leaking onto them. However, most of them were fine.

Dave, I do agree though, if you get to the point where everything is off then it is probably a good idea to change them merely for peace of mind. It's not like theyre a part that you can skip because it's easy to change down the track such as a cam cover gasket or whatever else is an easy job at any time. Just stating that it's not imperative that they be replaced.

have you got shares in monotorque?

how much is reasonably priced? for the toyota ones

repco and bursons act like the 2 big supermarket chains too much
instead of being happy making a profit, no! they want to make a killing

buy the local stuff if you wish

but for me its USA all the way
    btw the hg kit i bought suited 4age 4agze 4agte. ae82, mr2, corolla gts
they also stock stainless valves, guides, pistons rods etc, etc........

Full VRS (valve restem) kit as I said was under $300.

    This is:
    Headgasket
    Intake gasket
    Exhaust gasket
    Cam cover gaskets
    Cam cover bolt washers/seals
    Spark valley gasket
    Valve stem seals

I think that is a better price than your headgasket and head bolt price considering you need so much more than that when doing a headgasket. BTW a headgasket over here is about $70 on its own, and about $80 for a full set of head bolts. So thats $50 cheaper than getting them from the states, and you don't have to wait 1 week +.

sorry to tell you this but-
the head gasket kit includes all the parts your describing and more
and a week waiting time is nothing, whats the rush. just order it while your getting your head shaved or before you start....and its cheaper freight to east coast aus btw
