MA61 5me problems

just put in a engine that i got from a member here that was meant to be an excellent
runner but we got it in and wired up and it has a fair bit of trouble starting. well it
started once for about 10seconds.. it starts for a split second then stalls straight away.
anyone know what would cause this?
can get a video of it if that would help.

and does anyone have a diagram for the vacuum lines for a 5me? couldnt find any.

sounds like its running on the clod start injector - ecu may not be getting a signal from the dizzi/igniter. check wiring around the coil.

Check for wiring on afm and fuel pump too.

Does it run very rough? When it runs?

It could also be the coolant temperature sensor for the ECU (Not too hard to damage swaping engines)

check the fuel pump switch in the AFM. Use a paper clip to short the two pins in the yellow connector taped to the loom near the AFM/drivers headlight.

It's too dark now and I'm out all tommorow but might be able to get a photo showing the majority of a vacuum line sticker

It was the first thing on my mind, but really.. nobody needs that sort of pressure when their engine isn't running right.

and i never saw any...

pulling the inlet manifold and putting the one from my old engine on so the plugs will be the same.

(got an old bmw for a daily driver)
