aw11 e51 gearbox swap problems.

Ive just swapped the gearbox in my aw11 it was my first time doing this so there was bound to be problems. I got the box in all ok but well the problem is simply this, i cant select gears or even push the clutch in (to much resistance) and i have no idea of what i could of done wrong. any help would really be appreciated.

Hi mate

Could be a few things, but sounds kinda like you've put the clutch plate in backwards. I remember when Norbie did it a few years ago, I had NO idea how you could get it wrong but hey anything's possible

Also, sometimes if the release bearing is too far along the shaft it won't slide.

i didn't even touch the clutch plate.. and i placed the release bearing just above the fork. the thing that has me confused is why i cant even shift gears? i sorry if this sounds dumb but if the box was left in i donno 3rd gear while it was taken out then the one i replaced it with was in neutral would that cause problems? if u get what i mean.
