Can anyone tell me where to find the engine number on a 1JZGTE?
I'm assuming it's not the number above the inlet manifold towards the front of the head? It looks like 11111-******.

I knew someone who got their Cortina registered and the engine number was similar to:
Hahahaha.1-5-3-6-2-4
But yes the number will be on the block on 99% of engines... unless you're talking about rotary engines in which case it's on the front... so there's a high possibility you can buy a stolen rotary engine with a legit front plate on it. Who'd have thought there were dodgy carnts into rotors?![]()
Must.... avoid.... urge... to... upgrade... parts I haven't.... used.... yet.....
