Yes but the 2J is manual now , convert a 7M to manual and then check the fuel figures.
I,ll never win this battle i know but ive done my homework and kept check of many many conversions .
The 2 motors in the same mechanical condition same tranmission same car 7M wins . Go get yr 2J down to 8.5 lt per hundred no way.

Thats true Dave I understand what your saying, you know your shit well.

Just saying from my experiences too. My last car had 7MGE with W58 conversion, now its 2JZ with W55.
