Default Toyota AWD system tyre choices..

So I'm looking to replace the tyres on my st215w caldina GTT I recently purchased. However this being my first Toyota im not 100% sure on the do's and dont's of the AWD system.

I know with Nissan's and Subaru they recommend same sized tyres (or same rolling diameter) front and rear, is this the same with Toyota's?

I was looking at putting Kumho Ecsta KU25 AST 215/45r17 brand new all round, however the opportunity has come up to buy a pair of Kumho Ecsta 7 KU23 in the same size with only a few hundred kms on them for a good price. So then I would only be purchasing one pair of the KU25s brand new.

So I guess what I am trying to ask is same sized tyres front and rear of the same brand but different model ok to run?

    Any help is appreciated

Dont see any reason why it would matter.
Might have a small variance on traction front to rear but thats all.
The important factor as you mentioned is rolling diameter or circumference....

thanks for the reply, in regards to the grippier tyre I think the slightly better ku25 AST will be going on the front.
