plus it was cleared up about a substitute spare car /driver
so i will take the blue shitter up, just in case
that means that i will have to get it ready
change the oil and charge the battery , that should do it
Nothing too significant.
Some changes to timing strategy, but that's all in the regs.
No steelies
Fire ext must have the date stamped on it and be less than 5yrs (i think?)
harnesses are given the date extension per CAMS
The shirts we tried on were f*%king massive sizes
Eddie is a budding cameraman
Slim is threatening to punch Eddie if he doesn't put that bloody camera down
We all owe the team managers $10 each for the dorian.
That's about it!

Don't forget to kick the tyres.
I can do that for you this arvo if you like?
Why this shit with CAMS, it is a AASA meeting.
I am going to email Neil and sook about the scruitineers, I had a go at them last year at the drivers briefing, this is not a CAMS meeting, yet the tossers keep bring CAMS shit into it.
I was going to drive 2.5 hours down there for the meeting, I did it for the last 2 meetings and was bored shitless.
Just for everyones interest, there seemed to be some confusion about which date we were planning to attend the practice/open at Winton for Shakedonw etc, the date of that event is Friday 25th September, NOT the 18th. Hopefully my car will be ready by then and I plan on attending, would be good to see some others there.
R.I.P Peter Brock.
The accommodation has been slightly re-arranged with some new people coming and some no longer attending.

i see i've been upgraded to a sofa bed so i can be in your presence simon, either way sounds good to me. Ian, whats the latest updates on the race car? i will be back in town physically as of monday next week however from the way things have been going my mind will be left somewhere in a shattered drunken mess on the floor of a back packers. Did you or tim get the oil filter i dropped off at your place, i wasn't able to organise a genuine in time but in my experiences ryco have worked well.
shamo
the problem is, your not using a big enough hammer
The sofa bed will be fine Shamo. I just modified it for you. It's now described as "awesome".
Team shirts are still being organised.
Ed and i have been dealing with a new mob PSI Online in the hope of bringing the cost down. So far it's looking much better.

So on the Friday night at the hotel can I get a run down on the plan for the event etc?
Of course. The Saturday is pretty cruisey anyhow. There's a whole day at the track and you're pretty much only required to send your car through scruitineering and do 4 laps.
We'll fill you in on what you need to know on Friday, but Saturday isn't going to be terribly stressful. I wouldn't worry.
Joel, are you cool with the accommodation? I figured i'd stick you and your mate(s) in the same room and you can fight over who gets which bed.
Also, in your sig... Cressida GLX not GXL.![]()

we got a bit more done
all the wiring is all but complete
i sanded and painted the extractors with a heat resistant paint ,only to discover that the idler arm fouls them on left lock ,so now i have to do the whole welding in the threaded nut for the oxy sensor deal again on another set of extractors ,oil filter fitted
sump plug leaks ,needs a new washer . i bought some gasket stuff and made up the exhaust manifold gasket ,
thats about it for now
i will do a bit more this afternoon when i get home
